Hey everybody! This is our first post on our new blog! Although we've been in the coffee business for over 25 years, we took our first (and long over due) trip to the motherland of espresso culture, Italy! Our travels took us from Rome to Assisi, Venice to Florence and finally Siena to Amalfi (with over 9 moving violations!) Even though Lisa and I did Duolingo for a few months, I couldn't manage to put 2 + 2 together to understand "zona traffico limitato" meant basically "do not enter!"

Traffic tickets aside, Lisa and I enjoyed ourselves very much! Overall coffee quality was consistently average/good and occasionally excellent (Roscioli in Rome and Ditta Artigianale in Florence).

The overall flavor profile is definitely  balanced, nutty/chocolaty and pretty much never sour. Our mission at Amielo Coffee is to provide these types of flavors but without the import price tag and the added benefit of being organically grown and roasted fresh.

We sincerely hope you enjoy!

AJ & Lisa
